Ghanaian actress, Efia Odo has once again called President Akufo-Addo incompetent and heartless in a social media post.
Even though she didn’t say much in her Tuesday social media post, the actress who used to be a part of the Fix The Country movement got responses from other tweeps.
On June 25, 2022, the showbiz star was one of the people arrested for protesting in front of the Law Court complex in Accra.
The court was hearing a case about whether or not the “non-partisan and non-political civic movement by Ghanaian youths for Ghana” should be allowed to hold a street protest.
The group “demanded a new society based on justice” and brought up issues with the economy and how the government was run.
Some Ghanaians say that the story hasn’t changed after a successful protest in which many people wore red and black and held up signs.
Some angry people have been talking about how bad the economy is and how they want it to be fixed.
In the middle of all this, the World Bank recently put Ghana at the top of the list for Sub-Saharan Africa as the country where food prices have gone up the most, by 122%.
This made Prince David Osei threaten to rally the youth against the government and protest, saying that Ghanaians deserved better.
The cedi continues to lose value, though. Some exchange offices in parts of Accra sell a dollar for an average of GH11.2, which is a cause for concern.
