Ghanaian gospel vocalist, Agnes Opoku Agyeman has expressed shock over how people nowadays attend funerals for food.
In Ghana, it’s a tradition to provide a bite to eat for people attending the funeral. This gives guests something to nibble on while they converse and mingle with friends and family members they may not have caught up with in a while.
Madam Agnes Agyeman believes that people nowadays attend funerals because of what they will get to eat. According to her, a lot of Ghanaians do not go to funerals to mourn with the bereaved family.
In a self-recorded video sighted by Adepanews.com, the renowned gospel singer said that some people deliberately pray for others to die in order to attend their funeral and eat.
She added that if Ghanaians do not repent from this attitude, people will keep dying every day.
