The Ghana Police Service has rendered an apology to journalists who were attacked and prevented from entering the courtroom yesterday during the arraignment of the founder of Glorious Word Power Ministries, Rev. Isaac Owusu Bempah and three others.

The controversial man of God and three others appeared before an Accra Circuit Court on Monday, September 13 after they were arrested for assaulting police officers.

According to reports, some church members of the renowned prophet who trooped to the circuit court attacked journalists and prevented them from capturing the arrival of their pastor in court.

After a video of the incident went viral, the Ghana Police Service has released a statement apologizing to the media for the inconvenience caused and has promised to identify the alleged perpetrators for immediate prosecution.

The Police also assured journalists that they will be fully protected and allowed to do their work at all times including the subsequent coverage of the case.
