On Friday January 21, 2022, a fuel tanker that was discharging fuel to some tricycles at Kaase near Asokwa in Kumasi caught fire.

According to a statement released by the Ghana Police Service, the tanker driver and a tricycle rider involved in the incident have escaped the scene.

The release added that no persons have been reported dead meanwhile, a few people believed to have sustained some injuries.

The statement read;

Fuel Tanker Catches Fire at Kaase Near Asokwa in Kumasi

Today January 21, 2022, at about 5:30 pm a fuel tanker that was discharging fuel to some tricycles at Kaase caught fire.

A few people are believed to have sustained some injuries. Thankfully, no persons have been reported dead.

The tanker driver and the tricycle rider involved have escaped the scene.

The police are at the scene to manage the situation.
