Euro 2020 match between Denmark and Finland was halted after Denmark’s midfielder Christian Eriksen collapsed on the pitch.
He was subsequently taken away on a stretcher to the hospital for medical treatment.
The fans in the stadium, who were celebrating the chance to see their national team again live at the stadium, sat silently in their seats, waiting for news of Eriksen’s condition to filter through.
Following the medical emergency, the match has been postponed.
But according to the Danish FA, Christian Eriksen is awake and responding to treatment.
