EOCO Seizes 95 Luxury Cars in Ghana, instructs owners to report (SEE LIST)

The Executive Director of the Economic and Organized Crime Office (EOCO) has officially announced the freezing of a total of Ninety-Five (95) luxurious cars, currently in the possession of individuals and car dealerships.

In adherence to EOCO’s directive, the aforementioned vehicles must be presented at EOCO’s offices no later than May 3, 2023, along with the necessary documentation. Failure to comply with the stated deadline would result in EOCO taking the required legal actions to confiscate the cars, as confirmed by the organization’s statement.

It is worth noting that EOCO, in collaboration with the Royal Canadian Mounted Police and the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), had earlier busted a vehicle stealing syndicate in Ghana in December of the previous year, resulting in the recovery of numerous luxury cars stolen from the United States of America and Canada.

During the operation, thirty-seven (37) cars were recovered from garages in Accra, and ten (10) individuals were arrested and subsequently granted bail after questioning, as highlighted in EOCO’s statement.
