Renowned gospel singer, Gifty Adorye also known as Empress Gifty has been trending on social media for the past few days after mocking her colleague, Piesie Esther for losing the “Artiste Of The Year” award at the 2023 Vodafone Ghana Music Awards (VGMA).
Empress Gifty took to social media to share a post indirectly teasing Piesie Esther after Black Sherif was announced as the Artiste Of The Year.
Prior to the event, a renowned gospel music group ‘Table of Men’ campaigned massively for Piesie Esther.
According to reports, The Table Of Men is a group of gospel media figures who aim to advance the agenda of the country’s gospel musicians, among other things.
After Black Sherif won the prestigious award, Empress Gifty poked fun at the Table of Men on her Facebook page.
She mentioned after the awards ceremony that she would need a new table and included laughing emojis.
A lot of Ghanaians especially music lovers slammed the singer and accused her of envying Piesie Esther. A social media user identified as Samsonwaa Daya blasted the gospel singer and dropped some allegations against her.
