Lawyer Edudzi Kudzo Tameklo a prominent and active member of the National Democratic Congress(NDC) legal team, has uncovered some ‘dirty’ schemes employed by Mr. Gabby Asare Otchere-Darko against the speaker of the 8th parliament.
The renowned lawyer revealed that Mr. Gabby Otchere-Darko utilized every unscrupulous tactic and strategy to plot against the Speaker Alban Sumana Kingsford Bagbin.
Mr.Edudzi revealed that “what Gabby doesn’t know is that Speaker Bagbin is aware of the personal machinations of Gabby from the Cape Coast High court to getting a Registrar at the Court complex in Accra to get them a bailiff here in Accra to serve the Clerk of Parliament”.
Explaining Gabby’s machinations (tactics) Lawyer Edudzi added “when the bailiff informed them that the time for service has passed”, they did assure him that they have already informed the Clerk of Parliament.
“The writing of 4:55pm on the logbook was contrived to conceal the fact that it wasn’t passed 5pm when the Clerk of Parliament was purportedly served”. All these were plans to disenfranchise the Assin North MP from voting for the NDC’s candidate Bagbin as speaker of parliament, hence reducing the NDC’s number that will automatically secure the NPP a win.
Connecting the dots to the actions of the clerk he unfolded “you saw the embarrassment on the face of the Clerk of Parliament when he kept mentioning the name of Hamza. Hamza left for Kumasi immediately the Judge gave the ruling, so it was not possible the same Hamza came to Accra to serve the order”.
He went on to say, “today, you Gabby decided to patronize Speaker Bagbin”.
“If he was independent-minded as you claimed, why did you scheme to ensure he did not win?”
“You plot this evil, your evil agenda failed, instead of deep introspection, you quickly switched to another move, let me patronize Speaker Bagbin. Patronizing Martin Amidu resulted in one of the biggest scandals against Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo. Gabby thinks he is the smartest but his schemes always come back to destroy him”, he stressed.
The NDC legal gladiator ended his exposé with “Maybe he thinks patronizing Speaker Bagbin, would get his baby, Agyapa deal through Parliament. My Tongu elders say, “if you climb the tallest tree, you cannot see tomorrow.” Gabby, accept that the last Cape Coast High court move failed”.
