ECG drops new ‘dumsor’ timetable, check if you are affected

The Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) has again released a schedule for another planned power cut which would start from Monday, 28th June to Monday, June 19, 2021.

According to Electricity Company in a statement, the intended power cuts popularly known as ‘dumsor’ is to help speed up the work of contractors to improve the power supply reliability.

As a result of this, the load to the Trasacco Bulk Supply Point (BSP) will be managed to enable the construction of towers at the Volta, Accra East and Achimota substations.

Explaining the planned outage, the release said it would help complete the stringing and commissioning of a new double-circuit 161kv Volta-Achimota transmission line.

This phase of the power outage will be during the evenings, from 6pm to midnight each day.
