Multiple award-winning rapper, Sarkodie has reacted to the introduction of controversial 1.75% electronic transaction levy(E-levy).

The rapper’s reaction comes after a Twitter user asked for his opinion on the e-levy.

“@sarkodie Please I want to know what you think about the E-Levy, you have been quiet on it your paddies are speaking their minds ooo,” the Twitter user asked.

Sarkodie responding to the tweet said he enjoys paying taxes outside Ghana because he enjoys amenities it has created.

To him, Ghanaians pay taxes but they do not enjoy the avenues these taxes are meant for, hence the reason why they are complaining about its implementation.

“I pay a lot of taxes outside and I don’t complain because I’m using avenues they made available to make money ( it’s only right ) it’s not same here and that’s why we complain not because the “E Levy” is bad . When you broke, a harmless “good morning “ can sound like a tease,” Sarkodie wrote.
