Ghanaian actor cum politician, John Dumelo has asked government to provide a timetable for the recent power outages locally known as ‘dumsor’ so that Ghanaians can plan their lives and businesses around it.
According to the 2020 National Democratic Congress(NDC) parliamentary candidate for Ayawaso West Wougon constituency, the ruling government should admit that the recent cut in power supply in the country is ‘dumsor’ and stop giving excuses.
A few days ago, Energy Minister Hon. Matthew Opoku Prempeh refuted claims that the current power challenge is dumsor. According to him, it is different from what happened during the administration of former President John Dramani Mahama.
But according to Mr. Dumelo, every dumsor is dumsor so the energy sector should stop giving Ghanaians excuses and provide a timetable that will aid them to plan their daily lives and businesses around it till the problem is solved.
He took to social media and wrote:
“Whether it’s insufficient power generation or it’s inefficient distribution of power, dumsor is dumsor! The excuses for the power outages are becoming one too many. Don’t be shy to admit it’s Dumsor. Give us a timetable and let’s plan our lives and businesses around it. Thank you.”
