The Ghana Police Service has announced that an amount of ten thousand Ghana Cedis (GH¢10,000) has been named as a reward for any person who will provide vital information leading to the arrest and conviction of the person who murdered Constable Sandra Asiedu at Damango in the Savannah region.
In a statement released by the security agency, the amount was a pledge by the lawmaker for Damango constituency and Minister for Lands and Natural Resources, Hon. Lawyer Abu Jinapor.
He made the pledge through the Savannah regional Minister, Hon. Muhazu Saeed when he led a delegation of the NPP Constituency executives to commiserate with the Police on August, 03.
Constable Sandra was found dead at her residence at Damongo in the Savannah region on 2nd August 2021.
She was found in a pool of blood with wounds believed to be knife stabs. The body has since been deposited at West Gonja District Hospital, pending investigation.
Her boyfriend is highly suspected and the Police are on a manhunt for him.
