Renowned Ghanaian hip-life musician, Nhyiraba Kojo has been jailed 30 days by a Sekondi Commercial High Court.
The court, presided over by Justice Sedina Agbemava, sentenced Nhyiraba Kojo to incarceration after he defied the interlocutory injunction order for him to stop the noise at the nightclub, ensure soundproof installation at the NK City Nightclub, and submit a report to the court.
Some residents of Fijai filed the case against the CEO OF NK City Nightclub over noise pollution from his nightclub.
Counsel for the petitioners, Pamela Arvoh- Mensah of Owusu Ankomah Arvoh Mensah, Dzigba and Associates, confirmed the court’s decision and explained that Nhyiraba Kojo
could purge himself of the contempt and avoid serving the full 30-day sentence according to citinewsroom report.
