An Accra Circuit Court has ordered television personality Mona Gucci to pay five hundred thousand Ghana Cedis (500,000) to Yvonne Nelson for making false statements about her on Accra-based Neat FM.

The court asked Mona to pay the aforementioned amount to the actress and also retract and apologize to her for making untrue utterances about her.

The host of “Bribigyegye” show on Onua TV was not in court when the judgement was passed.

Mona was also restrained from making any more defamatory statements about the actress.

Yvonne Nelson sued Mona after the tv personality sat on Neat FM last year and mentioned her name and some Ghanaian female personalities and tagged them as “slay queens”. The term ” Slay Queen” according to her can be likened to a woman with loose morals who under the cover of legitimacy engages in prostitution and other illegal activities for upkeep.

“Yvonne doesn’t show off, but she is a slay because you know the slay queen it entails a lot, we have both showing off and some contacts and people who we know that the things that you do and the lifestyle you exhibit, someone is paying for you behind the scenes,” she alleged.

Yvonne subsequently through her lawyers wrote to Mona Gucci to retract the statement and apologize which she refused and rather took to social media and opened more fire on her.

“YVONNE NELSON SAYS SHE’S SUING ME IN COURT SOMEONE SHOULD TELL HER I SAID SHE SHOULD FUCK OFF … YVONNE FUCK THE FUCK OFF!! AND DON’T DISGRACE YOURSELF!! … ” and subsequently, “FUCK OFF YVONNE, SHUT THE FUCK UP I won’t FUCKIN APOLOGIZE TO U SO HURRY UP AND LETS FUCKIN MEET IN COURT, ” she wrote.

Yvonne later took the issue to court and sued her but all the time the case was called, Mona never showed up in court.
