President Akufo-Addo has asked the chief of Aflao Traditional Area, Torgbui Adzonu-Gaga Amenya Fiti V to go ahead to “complete” the community day senior high school project started by former President Mahama in his area if he is tired of waiting.

His response comes after the chief gave the Minister of Education an ultimatum to complete the abandoned project.

A couple of days ago, the Chief of Aflao gave the education ministry a four-month ultimatum to complete the school building started by former President John Dramani Mahama.

The E-Block community day senior high school which has 26 classrooms was constructed by the opposition NDC and it is almost 90 percent complete but has been left to rot in the bush since 2016.

But according to President Akufo-Addo, the Aflao Chief cannot give the education ministry an ultimatum to finish the project.

Speaking in an interview on Accra-based Peace FM, the President dared the chief to go ahead and complete the project if he can.

“Is he [Torgbui Adzonugaga Amenya Fiti] the one to give the minister ultimatum, then he should go ahead and complete the project,” amidst laughter, Akufo-Addo told host Kwami Sefa Kai.
