Circle traders ‘clash’ with military men over Operation Clean Your Frontage initiated by the Greater Accra Regional Minister, Mr. Henry Quartey.
In a video seen by adepanews.com, some traders could be seen in a heated argument with some military undergoing the initiative.
Traders at the Kwame Nkrumah Circle opposed their eviction, temporarily halting the operation.
The Police, fired a warning shot to disperse the protesting youth, but they charged on, making the Police look on and waited for the next line of action.
In the middle of the shooting, the merchants launched stones at the bulldozer that was being used for the exercise, smashing its windscreen.
They also blocked the entrance to the area with wooden kiosks and other items.
They were also heard chanting war songs as the scene was very heated.
