Controversial social media commentator and political activist, Kwame A Plus has reacted to the ‘one teacher one laptop’ initiative.
A few days ago, the government of Ghana officially launched the ‘one teacher one laptop’ initiative. Teachers at all levels across the country will be receiving a laptop to aid with teaching and learning.
But according to A Plus, it is needless for the government to give laptops to teachers while students do not have textbooks to study.
Teaching and learning have become difficult for some teachers and students because they do not have access to textbooks.
Meanwhile, teachers are expected to pay 30 percent of the cost of the laptops while government absorbs 70 percent.
