Police Officer, Lance Corporal Emmanuel Osei who was shot to de@th during a bullion van robbery attack has finally been laid to rest over the weekend.
The unfortunate incident occurred on June 14 at Adedenkpo near Jamestown in Accra.
Ghana Police Service sharing photos of the burial on its official Facebook page wrote;
Emmanuel Osei Laid to Rest
No. 58449 Lance Corporal Emmanuel Osei has been laid to rest. Osei was murdered by some criminals who also robbed a bullion van at Adedenkpo, Accra on 14th June, 2021. He was given a full Police burial.
The burial service was attended by the Hon. Minister for the Interior, Hon Ambrose Dery (MP), who represented the President of Ghana, H.E. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo Addo. The Hon. Minister announced the posthumous promotion of Emmanuel Osei to the rank of a Lance Corporal effective 14th June, 2021. Among others, he extended the appreciation of H. E. The President to members of the security services and appealed to the public to treat members of the security services as family and friends.
Gone but not forgotten Lance Corporal Emmanuel Osei. Life is eternal, death is only a horizon. It is not fair that your young life was taken in line of duty by criminals. It is the firm belief of the Police Administration that, the best tribute for you is the arrest of your murderers to face the full rigours of the law. Rest in peace Fallen Hero!
