The Court of Arbitration for Sport (CAS) after an appeal by the former Ghana Football Association has reduced the life ban on Kwesi Nyantakyi to twelve years.
The former President of Ghana Football Association (GFA) was banned from football for life by FIFA after involving in a bribery and corruption scandal.
Kwesi Nyantakyi served as the President for GFA for 13 years. He was also the vice president of the Confederation of African Football (CAF).
He was also GFA President and West African Football Union (WAFU) President.
He resigned from all the positions before the ban was imposed on him by world football governing body.
The former CAF vice president was ban and fined 500,000 Swiss francs (£390,000) for taken $65,000 from an undercover reporter.
