Member of Parliament(MP) for Tema West constituency, Hon. Carlos Ahenkorah is currently on hot seat after his misconduct during the inauguration of the 8th Parliament on Friday, January 7, 2020.

Some interested youth in his constituency have expressed worries about his behavior in Parliament and are calling for his removal as their lawmaker.

His constituents today, Monday, January 11, 2021 opened a petition book to compile signatures from different localities in the constituency. The petition book will be available from January 11 to January 13, 2021.

Mr. Ahenkorah snatched ballot papers in the chamber of parliament during the election of a speaker on January 7, 2021.

The former deputy Trade and Industry Minister who was not previously sighted, ran to the table during counting and snatched the ballots of Prof. Aaron Mike Oquaye and attempted to bolt with them.

He was quickly chased and accosted at the entrance of the parliamentary chamber and physically challenged by some NDC MPs.

The Chief Whip on the NDC side and MP for Asawase, Alhaji Muntaka Mubarak also went after him and secured the ballots papers which were returned to the table.

Member of Parliament(MP) for Juaboso Constituency, Hon. Mintah Akandoh has debunked claims that he was drawing current from Hon. Ursula Owusu-Ekuful when she sat on his laps during the dissolution of the 7th Parliament.

According to Ranking Member on Health Committee, Ursula Owusu felt like a piece of wood when she sat on his lap.

“I am sure Hon. Ursula Owusu was rather enjoying me whilst she sat on my lap since I wasn’t feeling anything for her,” he said jokingly.

He furthered that Ursula nearly broke his home because he is a married man and his wife has even threatened to sue her for human rights and domestic abuse.
