Information gathered by our outfit has it that broadcast journalist, Captain Smart has been arrested.
According to reports, the Onua TV/FM was arrested violently by National Security over broadcast pointing the finger at the President for his involvement in and indulgence of galamsey.
The journalist is said to have alleged that President Akufo-Addo was involved in illegal mining activities in the country.
In a statement signed by the Deputy Minister of Information, Fatimatu Abubakar on Tuesday, October 17, 2022, the government said the “unethical” publication by broadcaster Godsbrain Smart on October 17, 2022 was meant to impugn “the character and integrity of the President, and the credibility and commitment of his fight against illegal and irresponsible mining”.
