The Brazil football association (CBF) has disclosed that the females in Brazil’s national teams are going to be paid the same as male players. Both male and female players will be given equal daily and prize preparation periods and games.

According to the president of CBF, Rogerio Caboclo the measures to pay female national players equal amount as male players were put in place in March.

“Since March of this year, CBF has made an equal value in terms of prizes and daily rates between men’s and women’s football,” he said.

“That is, the players earn the same thing as the players during the calls. What they receive by daily call, women also receive.”

He added that same measures apply to performances at international tournaments such as World Cup and Olympics.
