Social media critic, Bongo Ideas has reacted to the statement of musician KiDi announcing his return to active music two months after canceling his North American tour due to his health condition.
In the early hours of Friday, April 14, 2023, the ‘Touch it’ hitmaker shared a statement on his various social media handles addressing rumors and misinformation that circulated regarding his illness and stated,
“A little under two months ago, I made the painful decision of cancelling my tour to take care of my health that included taking time off social media. In that time, I have been overwhelmed by the outpouring of love from family, friends, fans and the brands I work with. You all made me feel incredibly loved in this difficult period and I can’t appreciate you enough.
Unfortunately, a few bad actors took this as an opportunity to spread false stories that got a lot of you very concerned. While I do not want to give it any more attention, I want to categorically address that those stories were false. I am glad to be back to doing what I love most; creating music and performing for you. Thanks for sticking it out with me. Love, KiDi”
KiDi thanked his fans, friends, and family for their love and support during his difficult time. He also shared his excitement to return to creating music and performing for his fans.
Reacting to KiDi’s statement, Bongo Ideas claimed that the renowned singer is not fully recovered as he claimed. According to him, the video KiDi attached to his statement is an old video and Ghanaians should not fall for it adding that it was just a Public Relations (PR) stunt.
Bongo furthered that the music sensation is still not feeling well so Ghanaians should keep praying fervently for him.
“My source suggests that this is an old video that KiDi was forced to make just for the Lipton deal a few weeks ago while still unwell.
Check the misalignment of his arm and his massive weight loss. This is just a PR stunt; don’t fall for it.
I’m not a prophet of doom, but I know very well that KiDi is nowhere near fully recovered at this particular moment. Keep praying for him,” he wrote.
