The Vice President of Ghana, Mahamudu Bawumia, earlier today had a meeting with the second-richest man on earth Bill Gates.
During the meeting, they discussed major topics about the nation and also the pandemic.
The veep who made this revelation via a Facebook post, wrote:
Earlier today, I held a zoom meeting with Bill Gates, founder of Microsoft to discuss three key issues:
1. Ghana’s progress on immunization against the new circulating vaccine-derived polio virus type 2 (cVDPV2).
2. The lessons from Ghana’s policy response to COVID-19.
3. Ghana’s digitization strategy.
It was a good exchange of views and he congratulated Ghana for the strides we have made on several fronts. I also thanked him and theGates Foundation for their successful work in the fight against polio and other diseases. I was joined in the meeting by Dr. Oko-Boye, Deputy Minister for Health.
