The Ashanti Regional Command of the Ghana Police Service has donated boxes of water to the family of Maa Adwoa, who died under questionable circumstances in Asafo, a suburb of Kumasi.
During a visit to the family’s house to mourn with them during the one-week observation, the police head in the region expressed his condolences and advised the family to take everything in good faith during these trying times.
An uncle of the deceased, who spoke exclusively with Akosua of Ghpage TV, confirmed that the police donated 20 boxes of mineral water to the family to serve guests who visit to offer their condolences following the loss of their daughter. He added that the police added something else to the water, but he wouldn’t disclose what it was.
The uncle also thanked the police for their kind gesture, noting that the Police Service had really done a good thing. He further revealed that the police promised to support the family in any way they could during their time of grief.
The visit and donation by the Ashanti Regional Police Command to the family of Maa Adwoa come amidst calls for justice for the young girl who died under suspicious circumstances. The incident has sparked outrage and calls for the authorities to investigate and bring the perpetrators to book.
