Asantes are not satisfied with the NPP govt- MP

Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah, Member of Parliament (MP) for Buem in the Oti Region, has aired that the Ashanti Region are discontent with President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo and his administration for abandoning them.

According to the MP,  the Ashanti region played a major role in voting enormously for the New Patriotic Party (NPP) in the 2016 general elections but the region has been completely ignored by the party after it came into power.

Mr. Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah noted that, the only way the Region plans to mend the “unwise” mistake is to help the NDC party led by John Dramani Mahama take office by voting the party into power in the 2020 general elections.

In an exclusive interview with Kwaku Owusu Adjei on Kingdom FM 107.7, the MP elucidated that the dissatisfaction follows after the NPP govt choose to abandon some infrastructure commenced earlier by the Mahama administration.

“Asantes are now wiser and will vote against the NPP government in the 2020 elections,”

“President Akufo Addo has disappointed people in the Ashanti Region big time, “If John Mahama were in power at this time, major projects he started would have been completed by now,” he bragged.

Daniel Kwesi Ashiamah also claimed that the NPP government has been deceiving Ghanaians with lies that their government initiated most of the projects in the region.
