Renowned Kumawood star, Kwadwo Nkansah Lilwin says Asante people will borrow money to organize your funeral but same people won’t come to your aid when you’re sick.
According to the actor cum musician, Asantes love the dead more than the living.
Speaking in an interview with Fiifi Pratt on Accra-based Kingdom Plus fm, he said Asantes will go and borrow money for your funeral but will ignore when you’re sick and need money for treatment .
He shared a story of how a sick man who was abandoned by his family had to feign his death to get them pay his hospital bills.
Lilwin says the man told the hospital to call his family and announce to them that he passed away during treatment.
When the hospital did exactly that, the family contributed money to pay his bills so that they can have his body for a funeral.
After paying the bills, the hospital staff told the family it was a prank.
