Member of Parliament (MP) for Assin Central and New Patriotic Party (NPP) flagbearer aspirant, Kennedy Agyapong has said that his colleague politician Alan Kyeremanten is right if he says it’s his turn to lead the party ahead of the 2024 general election.
According to the outspoken lawmaker cum business mogul, Alan Kyeremanteng equally deserves to lead the NPP as flagbearer because he has toiled for the party.
Speaking in an interview on Kumasi-based Sompa FM as reported by pulsegh, Mr. Agyapong stressed that the former Minister of Trade has paid his dues to the party and, thus, deserves to be the flag bearer.
He furthered that if some sympathizers of NPP are asking delegates to vote for Bawumia to lead the party because he has been vice president for two terms, then Alan Kyeremanteng is even more deserving of that privilege.
“Yes, if Alan says it’s his turn, he deserves it because he has been in the trenches with the party from its inception as the president of the Young Executives Forum (YEF) which was the financial wing of the NPP in the early days”, Mr. Agyapong noted.
