The Minority leader in Parliament, Hon. Haruna Iddrisu has said that the behavior of President Akufo-Addo and the use of military to subvert the sovereign will of Ghanaians is shameful.

Ghanaians in all the 275 constituencies on Monday, December 7, 2020 exercised their franchise by voting to elect  president and parliamentarians who will manage the affairs of Ghana for the next four years.

The winner of the 2020 general elections is yet to be announced by Electoral Commission(EC) headed by Mrs. Jean Mensa.

Meanwhile, opposition National Democratic Congress is not satisfied with some of the results declared at the various collation centers claiming that the sitting president is using the military to take away the will of the people.

A few hours ago, supporters of NDC stormed the office of EC demanding declaration of results be ause they believe they have won.

Some supporters held placards with inscriptions “‘EC we want peace”, “For Agyapa and PDS we will vote you out”, “Ghana has spoken”, “Let the EC declare the results”, “We know the NDC has won the election” among others.

The police have called for reinforcement and the military has been deployed to the scene.
