The President has appointed a physically challenged man, Mr. Joseph Makubu as Minister of Oti Region in his second term.

According to multiple sources, Mr. Makubu is an ardent member of the ruling New Patriotic Party (NPP) for many years so the president sees it due to appoint him to occupy such a position.

Mr. Makubu as an active member of the party took major roles at both district and regional levels and he is currently the NPP Secretary of the Oti Region.

This is not the first time a physically challenged person has been appointed a Minister as late President Mills appointed Dr. Seidu Danaah as Chieftaincy Minister.
