President Akufo-Addo has finally confirmed the re-opening date of Ghana’s airport during his 16th address to the nation on Sunday August, 30 2020.

According to the President, the airport can commence operations on Tuesday September 1 by adhering to the covid-19 safety protocols. Arrivals will undergo mandatory coronavirus test to avoid the import of virus into the country. The results of the test will be available in thirty minutes.

The airport is set to begin work after a thorough work by the Ghana Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA), the Ghana Airports Company Limited (GACL), Ghana Health Service and the Ministry of Health.
