Ghanaian actress cum politician, John Dumelo has taken to social media to state a few qualities he admired about the 1st President under the 4th Republic of Ghana, late former President Jerry John Rawlings.

According to the National Democratic Congress(NDC) parliamentary aspirant for Ayawaso West Wuogon constituency in the 2020 general elections, the late former President is a person who is always willing to accept defeat in good faith to foster the transfer of power.

He added that these few qualities of the late Jerry John Rawlings should be emulated by other African Presidents especially those who have ruled their countries for a long period.

He took to Twitter and wrote;

The final burial service of the late President is currently ongoing.

The general public, heads of security agencies, leaders of political parties along with traditional leaders among others, file past the body from 8 am till 6 pm on Monday.

From 9 am till 4:30 pm on Tuesday, January 26, the President and the Vice-President, their respective spouses and other high ranking members from the Judiciary and the Legislature, also got the opportunity to file past the body of former President Jerry John Rawlings.

The state funeral for the late former President Rawlings is being held at Independence Square in Accra on Wednesday, January 27, 2021.
