Ghanaian gospel musician Joseph Mensah has waded into the ongoing debate on the legalization of Lésbian, G@y, Bis3xual, Transgender and Queer Intersex (LGBTQI) in Ghana.
According to the veteran actor, a lot of men he knows are involved in the act but have kept it from the public eye. He disclosed that most of his colleagues in the industry are g@ys.
Speaking in an interview with Zionfelix, the singer cum actor stressed that he knows three of these Gospel musicians who are g@ys.
The renowned Gospel musician revealed most of these gays are churchgoers and they target these musicians from the churches. According to the ‘Anadwo Bogya’ hitmaker, these Gospel musicians succumb to their pressure due to financial challenges.
He further indicated that these men thrive in churches so they lure Men of God and some Gospel Musicians into such dubious acts.
The legalization of Lesbian, Gay, Bisexual Transgender, and Queer Intersex (LGBTQI) in Ghana has become a national debate for a couple of weeks now after European Union commended Ghana for respecting the rights of LGBT.
Christian Council and the Catholic Bishops Conference, the Muslim community as well as the traditional rulers have condemned the recognition of this act in the country.
